'"Fresh" "Relevant", "Engaging", "Exciting". "Dynamic" are all overused words. Philip Wilcox is not a word, overused or otherwise. But he uses words very goodly. Like, when he's on stage you actually wanna watch him, and not just check your fucken phone. Ah, what the hell - Philip Wilcox is a Fresh, Relevant, Engaging, Exciting, Dynamic (that spells FREED, maaan!) speaker of the spaken word / performer. And he hasn't even paid me for this ad. Not yet..."

"Philip Wilcox challenges audiences with a strong mix of humour and the kind of political insight that steers distinctly clear of the didactic or prescriptive. He asks us questions about our humanity that are frank and difficult to answer. He has us laughing one minute, then suddenly realising that deep down we are the butt of his jokes. He causes people to howl, scream and leap to their feet cheering with thoughts echoing in their heads like "Wait? Shouldn't I be upset? He's actually talking about me?". In the midst of all the applause, he gracefully returns his smoking microphone to it's melting stand and burns into our imaginations like a poetic brand."

"Philip has always been a natural on stage - for his ability to engage the audience with his wit, humour, lyrical lessons and authenticity. I'll never forget seeing him receive a massive standing ovation at packed out Art Party - the sign of true mastery of one's artform."

Founder and Creator of Art Party

"Humility is a mirror. Folks can't see through it but they end up seeing themselves. Philip Wilcox exudes this graciously."
